Listen as John Nunn takes you through a detailed personal biography of his life growing up and his introduction to the sport of rowing. John will take you through his intense training regimen, his move from the east coast to Long Beach California where he trained to qualify for the 1968 Olympic Games in the Double Sculls in Rowing. Moving through his personal stories of being the Olympic Rowing Coach at the Montreal Olympic Games and his astonishing story of helping a fellow rower defect from Romania. Lastly, his massive project that lasted over 12 years to essentially rebuild and double the size of the Long Beach Rowing Association boathouse where 5 different programs currently operate. The Expansion Project included: Women’s Restroom, Shower Room, Locker Room; Handicapped Access; The gym area where Roworx Indoor Rowing Classes are held; Kitchen and addition of two new boat bays which expand capacity to hold more boats. Throughout John Nunn’s journey you will discover what legacy he leaves behind for the rest of the future generations to follow.

Jack Nunn is the head trainer and owner of Roworx. Jack is a former national team rower who has competed in more than 100 triathlons, including 16 full Ironmans (including the Kona World Championships), 1 Ultraman, and The Norseman Extreme Ironman Distance Triathlon. He has created a system of rowing that prepares the whole body for both competition and fitness longevity.
